About

Hi, I'm Rajarshi Mitra. Most people call me Rishi, some know me as @the.photoguy. I was born and raised in Kolkata, and for more than ten years I've lived a double life: a marketer in fintech by day, and a photographer the rest of the time.

The job took me through different parts of my country, India, and I kept documenting all of it: crowded local trains, homes, local climate and, of course, the mountains I escaped to whenever I could.

I've never cared much about labels. I'm a generalist in a highly specialised world, curious about life. This big beautiful world is meant to be explored.

In 2026 I put a decade of it into my first book, 9-5 AND ART. It's for anyone who thinks they have to choose between a steady job and a creative life. I don't think you do.
